1000 Smiles Thailand Festival: An Exciting Weekend in Bonifacio High Street

The Tourism Authority of Thailand in the Philippines celebrated Songkran, the most popular festival in Thailand that marks the beginning of the new solar year and the start of the summer season, with an exciting event entitled the 1000 Smiles Thai Festival on April 15 -17, 2016 at the Bonifacio High Street, BGC, Taguig.

Songkran comes from the Sanskrit word saṃkrānti, which means literally "astrological passage", meaning transformation or change. It is usually celebrated by splashing water at family, friends and passers-by. This Thai celebration symbolizes the washing off of all misfortunes in the past year and welcoming the New Year with a fresh new start.
Below are some of the fun and exciting activities during this festivity:
  • Plan your next Thailand vacation with amazing travel packages
  • Taste delicious Thai food, drinks, desserts and snacks
  • Fantastic prizes and giveaways
  • Watch live Muay Thai performances
  • Indulge in a relaxing Thai massage
  • Ride a real Tuk Tuk
  • Witness first-hand handicraft demos with real Thai artisans
( Exhibit booths are fabricated by Swedish Designs )
