An International Conference for Engineers, Technologists, Scientists, Academe and Entrepreneurs is being organized by the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines jointly with the Association of Universities in the Asia and the Pacific on September 26-27 at the World Trade Center Manila. This technical conference is planned as a response to the fourth industrial revolution in which the Philippines and the other countries realize that there is a need to enhance the manufacturing processes and the workforce development to catch up with the global competitions.
The First International Conference on Automation, Mechatronics and Robotics, with the theme, "Harnessing Mechatronics and Robotics Innovations towards Sustainable and Empowered Society in the ERA of Industry 4.0" will be in conjunction with the AUTOMATION, MECHATRONICS, AND ROBOTICS EXHIBITION or the AMEROB EXPO 2019 to be held also at the World Trade Center Manila. At the same time and venue, the FIRST INTERNATIONAL ROBOTICS COMPETITION will be launched by both organizations for the students from international and local schools to participate in the technological events. These events will be supported by the Department of Science and Technology and the Metals Industry Research and Development Center.
Other organizations like the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME), The Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers (IIEE), Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICpEP), Institute of Electronics and Communication Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) and the Philippine Society of Information Technologists (PSIT) are invited as partners in the international conference.
Highlighted in the above events are the latest trends and technologies in industrial automation, mechatronics, and robotics. Discussions on artificial intelligence, smart factories, internet of things, virtual reality trends in Industry 4.0 and machine learning trends will complement the highlights of the two-day conference.
